A Symphonic Experience at Pioneros
On Wednesday, September 2, our community enjoyed an unforgettable concert with the Orchestra and Choir of the Colina School of Music.
Our pioneers listened attentively and returned home excited to share this wonderful experience. More than one even felt inspired to learn a new instrument.
Our 8th Grade pioneer Felipe Briceño, a member of the choir, played a special role in this gathering. Thanks to the connection made by his family, we had the privilege of welcoming these talented musicians to our school.
Through the voices of director Daniel Vargas and choir member Salomé Correa, we discovered the dedication, teamwork and passion behind this musical experience.
We also recognize Mr. Cristóbal Bonzi, our Music Advisor, whose dedication and coordination made this meaningful encounter possible.
Thank you for filling Pioneros with music, talent and inspiration.
Una experiencia sinfónica en Pioneros
El miércoles 2 de septiembre, nuestra comunidad vivió un concierto inolvidable junto a la Orquesta y el Coro de la @escuelamusicacorporacioncolina
Los aprendices escucharon con mucha atención y llegaron a sus casas contando la gran experiencia que habían vivido. Más de alguno, incluso, quedó con ganas de aprender a tocar un nuevo instrumento.
Nuestro aprendiz Felipe Briceño, de 8th Grade e integrante del coro, fue un gran protagonista de este encuentro. Gracias al vínculo generado por su familia, tuvimos la suerte de recibir a estos talentosos músicos en nuestro colegio.
A través de las voces de su director, Daniel Vargas, y de Salomé Correa, integrante del coro, conocimos la dedicación, el trabajo en equipo y la pasión detrás de esta experiencia musical.
Destacamos también la gestión de Mr. Cristóbal Bonzi, nuestro Advisor de Música, quien organizó e hizo posible este significativo encuentro.

FAITH IS ALSO LIVED IN COMMUNITY
On Thursday, August 27, the 3rd Grade North community gathered for a particularly meaningful celebration: our learners Nicolás León and José Tomás Barro received the Sacrament of Baptism alongside Colomba Zúñiga, daughter of Miss Francisca Zúñiga, and Martín Davanzo, son of Miss Paula Schrader.
It was a moment filled with love, faith and a strong sense of community. Nico, Joseto, Colomba and Martín took this important step in their journey of faith surrounded by their families, classmates and the Pioneros team.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this celebration and helped make it such a special memory for them, their families and our entire community.
LA FE TAMBIÉN SE VIVE EN COMUNIDAD
El jueves 27 de agosto, la comunidad de 3rd Grade North se reunió para compartir una celebración especialmente significativa: nuestros aprendices Nicolás León y José Tomás Barro recibieron el sacramento del Bautismo junto a Colomba Zúñiga, hija de Miss Francisca Zúñiga, y Martín Davanzo, hijo de Miss Paula Schrader.
Fue un encuentro lleno de cariño, fe y un profundo sentido de comunidad. Nico, Joseto, Colomba y Martín dieron este importante paso en su camino de fe acompañados por sus familias, compañeros y el equipo Pioneros.
Gracias a todos quienes fueron parte de esta celebración y contribuyeron a convertirla en un recuerdo tan especial para ellos, sus familias y toda nuestra comunidad.

WELCOME, SEPTEMBER!
We welcomed the month of Chilean Independence with a joyful school-wide assembly that brought together all our cycles.
Learners, tutors, advisors, VPs and administrative teams took part in a special *esquinazo*, filling Pioneros with cueca, music, dancing and plenty of smiles.
The song featured in this reel is an original, previously unreleased Pioneros creation. It is the result of a beautiful collaborative project that brought together the talent of our tutors and advisors, guided by our Music Advisor, Mr. Cristóbal Bonzi.

AN IDEA THAT BECAME A BOOK
On Monday, August 31, our school Library hosted the launch of “Esto no es mío”, a poetry collection created by our 8th Grade learners.
Led by Advisor Miss Daniela Olivares, the project began in early July during Unit 2 in Language Seminar, “Hacking Language: A Poetry Lab”. Learners explored lyrical expression, wrote and edited poems, practiced recitation and shared their voices with our community.
The experience had three stages: literary creation, handmade book production, and the launch. Guided by Julieta Lorenzo from Vira Vira Ediciones, each learner handcrafted a copy using an exposed-spine binding technique.
With pride and emotion, families gathered in the Library to discover the finished book and hear the poems in the voices of their authors. Months of creativity, dedication and collaborative work had become real.
At Pioneros, ideas are imagined, planned, created and shared with care. When learning becomes tangible, it leaves a lasting mark.
UNA IDEA QUE SE CONVIRTIÓ EN LIBRO
El lunes 31 de agosto, la Library de nuestro colegio recibió el lanzamiento de “Esto no es mío”, un poemario creado por 8th Grade.
Liderado por la Advisor Miss Daniela Olivares, el proyecto comenzó a principios de julio durante la Unidad 2 de Seminar de Lenguaje, “Hackeando el lenguaje: Laboratorio poético”. Los aprendices exploraron el género lírico, escribieron y editaron poemas, practicaron su declamación y se prepararon para compartir sus voces con la comunidad Pioneros.
La experiencia tuvo tres etapas: creación literaria, confección artesanal del libro y lanzamiento. Acompañados por Julieta Lorenzo, de Vira Vira Ediciones, cada aprendiz elaboró su ejemplar mediante una técnica de encuadernación de lomo expuesto.
Con emoción y orgullo, las familias conocieron el libro terminado y escucharon los poemas en las voces de sus autores. Meses de creatividad, dedicación y trabajo colaborativo se habían hecho realidad.
En Pioneros, las ideas se imaginan, se planifican, se crean y se comparten. Cuando el aprendizaje se vuelve tangible, deja una huella que permanece.

An intense day of football, challenges and growth on the field.
On Friday, August 28, our Pioneros teams experienced a day filled with exciting matches. The Mini category kicked off the Copa LEN Closing Tournament with a 2–2 draw between Pioneros Blanco and Pioneros Azul, in a game where teammates became rivals and gave their all until the final whistle.
Later, our Infantil team showed resilience against Grace College. After falling behind, they never gave up, turned the match around and secured an impressive 6–2 victory.
The day continued with Pioneros Blanco’s 3–1 win over Pioneros Azul in the Premini category. This match also marked the debut of several 2nd Grade learners in the 3rd and 4th Grade team, taking an important step in their development process.
Congratulations to all our players for their effort, teamwork and Pioneros spirit.

Una intensa jornada de fútbol, desafíos y crecimiento dentro de la cancha.
El viernes 28 de agosto, nuestras selecciones Pioneros vivieron un día lleno de emocionantes partidos. La categoría Mini dio inicio al Torneo de Clausura de la Copa LEN con un empate 2-2 entre Pioneros Blanco y Pioneros Azul, en un encuentro donde compañeros de entrenamiento se convirtieron en rivales y lo dieron todo hasta el último minuto.
Más tarde, nuestra categoría Infantil demostró toda su capacidad de superación frente a Grace College. Tras comenzar en desventaja, nunca bajó los brazos, logró revertir el marcador y se quedó con una gran victoria por 6-2.
La jornada continuó con el triunfo de Pioneros Blanco por 3-1 frente a Pioneros Azul en Premini. Este partido también marcó el debut de varios aprendices de 2nd Grade en la selección de 3rd y 4th Grade, dando un importante paso en su proceso de desarrollo.
Felicitaciones a todos nuestros jugadores por su esfuerzo, trabajo en equipo y espíritu Pionero.

How do we know when a chemical reaction has occurred?
As part of their Chemical Reactions unit, our 9th Grade students moved from theory to hands-on investigation. By mixing different substances, they observed evidence such as changes in color and temperature, gas and precipitate formation, and light emission.
Throughout the experience, they worked with autonomy, using balances, graduated cylinders, and other laboratory instruments to measure, observe, record evidence, and draw conclusions. This experience was guided by Miss Javiera Andueza, our Chemistry Advisor for 9th Grade.
A concrete and visual learning experience that allowed chemistry to unfold right before their eyes.

¿Cómo podemos saber que ocurrió una reacción química?
En el marco de su unidad de Reacciones Químicas, nuestros estudiantes de 9th Grade llevaron la teoría al laboratorio. Mediante la mezcla de distintas sustancias, observaron evidencias como cambios de color y temperatura, formación de gases y precipitados, y emisión de luz.
Durante la experiencia trabajaron con autonomía, utilizando balanzas, probetas y otros instrumentos de laboratorio para medir, observar, registrar evidencias y elaborar conclusiones. Esta experiencia fue guiada por Miss Javiera Andueza, nuestra advisor de Química para 9th Grade.
Una experiencia de aprendizaje concreta y visual que les permitió ver la química ocurrir frente a sus propios ojos.

The Pioneros FutCup was a complete success!
Three 6th Grade Level UP learners—Borja Palacios, José Miguel Ossa, and Diego Correa—organized the school’s first football tournament from scratch. Six teams competed, ending with an incredible final between 3rd and 4th Grade, with 3rd North as champion.
All Level UP projects are led and guided by Miss Trinidad Domínguez, whose constant commitment to our learners we especially recognize.
With the support of the Wolf Team, Mr. Sebastián Mondaca, and Miss María Jesús Hurtado as host, the tournament became a true celebration of football and community.
Registration fees covered the tournament prizes, and the remaining proceeds will be donated to @casafamilia_fundacion . In this way, the project brought Care and Purpose to life, extending its impact beyond the field.

La Pioneros FutCup fue todo un éxito.
Tres aprendices de 6th Grade de Level UP—Borja Palacios, José Miguel Ossa y Diego Correa—organizaron desde cero el primer torneo de fútbol del colegio. Seis equipos participaron, culminando con una increíble final entre 3rd y 4th Grade, donde 3rd North se coronó campeón.
Cada proyecto Level UP es dirigido y guiado por Miss Trinidad Domínguez, de quien destacamos su compromiso constante con nuestros aprendices.
Con el apoyo del Wolf Team, Mr. Sebastián Mondaca y Miss María Jesús Hurtado en la animación, el torneo se convirtió en una verdadera fiesta del fútbol y la comunidad.
Lo recaudado mediante las inscripciones se destinó a los premios, y el monto restante será donado a Fundación Casa Familia. Así, el proyecto transformó el Care y el Purpose en acciones concretas, ampliando su impacto más allá de la cancha.
